Many factors are important when you consider a family medicine residency
program: the faculty, the residents, the location, procedural training, and more. In addition to the quality of the
training program, your quality of life and the needs of your family must be considered.
Our residency program combines a community-based approach with an innovative curriculum, excellent inpatient experience,
and a strong outpatient procedural program. Our faculty are experienced clinicians who are dedicated to teaching residents
and helping them develop their full potential. Those factors, together with the great quality-of-life enjoyed by our
residents, make for a great residency experience at our program for the right candidates.
If you visit Alexandria and spend time with our faculty and residents, you may
find that you don't want to leave. We look forward to talking with you and showing you what our program has to offer.
With warm regards,
Brian Elkins, M.D., FAAFP
Program Director
