
| Brian Elkins, M.D., Residency Program Director Dr. Elkins joined the faculty in 1999, and became Program Director in 2006
and Associate Professor of Clinical Family Medicine. He completed his residency at In His Image Family Medicne in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
His area of research is obesity. Dr. Elkins was named 2008 Family Physician of the Year by the Louisiana Academy of Family Physicians. |

| Bradley Touchet, M.D., Associate Residency Director Dr. Touchet earned his M.D. from The University of Oklahoma in 1994 and completed
his residency with the In His Image Family Medicine Residency in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1997. He spent four years after residency in the Air Force and two
years in private practice. He serves as the Medical Director for the Alexandria Family Medicine Clinic. |

| Michael Madden, M.D., Senior Family Medicine Faculty Dr. Madden has been in private
practice in rural Louisiana and came to us from the faculty of the University of Missouri in Kansas City. He holds a
Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine. Dr. Madden served as Residency Program Director from 2001-2005.
Dr. Madden was named the 2009 Family Physician of the Year by the Louisiana Academy of Family Physicians. |

| Tuncay Ertan, M.D., Internal Medicine Curriculum Coordinator Dr. Ertan is a board-certified pulmonologist who joined the
faculty in a part-time position in 2002. His extensive experience in internal medicine and pulmonology ae well as his long
and well-respected position in the local medical community make him a valuable asset to the residency. |

| Heather Guillot, M.D Dr.
Guillot is a native of Central Louisiana, and returned to area after graduation from LSUHSC-Shreveport School of Medicine.
She completed the Alexandria residency program in 2005, and became a faculty member shortly thereafter. Dr.Guillot
focuses on Pediatrics and Dermatology procedures. |

| Charles Norwood, M.D. Dr. Norwood staffs the Rapides Regional Medical Center Emergency
Room on a part-time basis in addition to his position in the residency. He is a former medical missionary and is actively
involved in nutrition research. |
 | Natalie Phillips, M.D Dr. Phillips is a 2002 graduate of the Alexandria residency.
She practiced family medicine in Leesville and Natchitoches before joining the residency program as a faculty member
in June, 2007. |
 | Kiranmaye Balapala, M.D., Lecture Curriculum Coordinator Dr.
Balapala joined the faculty in August, 2007 upon graduation from the Alexandria residency program. In addition
to teaching, she is responsible for scheduling weekly didactic lectures for the residents.

 | Ann Pinfold, M.D Dr. Pinfold rejoined the faculty
in September, 2008, previously serving as a faculty member for six years. The England native completed
residency at St. Joseph Medical Center in Stanford, CT, and fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in
Houston. |
